Unit 1 – Wave Optics

Unit 3 – Acoustics
Introduction to acoustics, reverberation and reverberation time, growth and decay of energy, Sabine’s formula, absorption coefficient and its measurement, factors affecting architectural acoustics, production, detection and applications of ultrasound.

Unit 4 – Quantum Mechanics
Limitations of classical physics, de Broglie waves, uncertainty principle, wave function, Schrödinger equation and its physical interpretation, operators, expectation values, time-independent Schrödinger equation and applications, particle in a box, quantum computing concepts, classical vs quantum computing, data representation and quantum bits (qubits).

Unit 5 – Semiconductor Physics
